Explain your views on religious and or racial intolerance today, in this country. Does it still exist? Is it better/worse now? What do you think give examples.
Not sure what time period of the past or what country this question pertains to, but here are some ideas for the U.S. today:
Today Better examples: the 14th Amendment protects EVERYONE, and the U.S. law does not discriminate, many campaigns and groups are set to spread awareness about racial and religious topics.
Worse examples: some religious holidays such as Hanukkah are not recognized on a federal level, implicit bias can make it hard for some people to not stereotype others based on race alone.
