2.  degree of a polynomial is the highest of the degrees of its monomials (individual terms) with non-zero coefficients

3.  a coefficient is a number used to multiply a variable.

4.   A exponent refers to the number of times a number is multiplied by itself

5.     a constant is a number on its own, or sometimes a letter such as a, b or c to stand for a fixed number
