In Aunt Peggy’s backyard there are cows and chickens. There are 20 more chickens than cows. The total number of legs is 130. How many chickens and how many cows are there? (Each cow has 4 legs, each chicken has 2 legs.)

Divide 90 by 3. The answer is 30. Then divide 30 by 2 the answer is 15. Add 15 and 20 and the answer is 35 chickens. Divide 30 by 2 and the answer is 15.
