Pulmonary circulation is the movement of blood from the heart to the lungs. It delivers deoxygenated blood to the lungs, where it is oxygenated and carbon dioxide is released. After then, the oxygenated blood returns to the heart. The heart and the rest of the body are connected through the systemic circulation.
