37 and 14 are the numbers.

q+(q+23)=51.  If we subtract 23 from 51 we get 28.  Now if we divide 28 by 2 we get 14.  14+23=37.  37 + 14 is 51.  So the two numbers are 14 and 37.  Hope this helped :)
